Thank you to everyone who came out to support the DPHS Instrumental Music Program by planning, working, supporting and/or attending the 50th annual "Jazz in Paradise" festival on March 2. It was an unforgettable experience for our students and community!
The 10th anniversary of the Jazz Education Network (JEN) was held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV last weekend (Jan 9-13). The event was attended by the DP advanced jazz band and combo; the combo also played with the DP jazz choir. Each band performed a thirty-minute set and received valuable feedback by clinicians. The students attended panel discussions and clinics throughout the day, and were enthralled by world-class jazz musicians at the nightly concerts.
